Chennaities can now dial ‘1913‘ to register your complaints to a special 24/7 grievance cell (நவீன புகார் மையம்).
The Mayor of Chennai, Saidai Sa. Duraisamy, today inaugurated a modernized Public Grievance and Redressal Cell to listen to the complaints and feedback related to the services rendered by the Corporation of Chennai. Started at an initial cost of Rs. 32 Lakhs, the Cell will host 23 contract employees who will be at service 24/7.
How does it work?
Any resident of Chennai can dial the special grievance cell number- 1913 to register their complaints. Once a complaint has been registered, the resident shall receive a unique complaint number through SMS to follow up their complaint status. Also once the specified issue has been resolved, the resident will be intimated about the status of the complaint and ensure if he/she is satisfied with the solution.
“The distance between the Residents of Chennai and the Corporation authorities shall be kept at minimum, with this system”, the Mayor said.
Other Ways to register a complaint
Also the people of Chennai shall register their complaints via SMS by simply sending their grievance details to 9789951111.

Residents may also send their complaints through post, by mailing their complaint to The Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai, Ripon Building, EVR Salai, Chennai-600003.
